39. Talking to Strangers

I stand back and watch

You talk

To strangers,

Something you have always

Done.

You are still funny

Charming

And kind;

Your audience

Spontaneously

Erupts

With laughter.

While others,

Turn to me

Eyes wide;

They are lost

In your world

As if your non-sense

Will ensnare

their own minds.

They fear

The fool,

Accustomed

To order

They lack

Your rules

Of engagement;

Do not know

How to be

With a mind

That’s free.
